Science is a magnificent source and accelerator of solutions to the world's challenges. Startups are a key pathway to this purpose because they can break paradigms and speed up change. We, entrepreneurial scientist in the Netherlands, are committed to making academic startups more impactful.

We invite universities, knowledge transfer officers (KTO’s), the entrepreneurial world and government bodies to act and work with us on an ecosystem where startups thrive.
If you’re working on startup policies, crafting dealterms, developing innovation programs, or implementing initiatives like ‘Erkennen & Waarderen’, don’t hesitate to ask us for input. We can quickly mobilise to provide you with insights and ideas that will make your effort more impactful.

We have drafted 14 statements that should serve as a starting point for building an increasingly well-functioning academic support system for startups.
The statements emphasise the need to scale to get maximum impact from academic startups. Recognising and valuing entrepreneurial scientists, the involvement of experienced entrepreneurs and professional support are important conditions to this end. Supporting a fertile environment for our entrepreneurial scientists has to be considered as an investments in economy and society of the Netherlands.
We’re here to inspire scientists, students, and entrepreneurs to embark on their own startup journeys. If you have questions or need guidance, we are ready to share insights and firsthand entrepreneurial experience to support you.
Feel free to reach out to any of us directly or connect through the contact form.
